Celebrate a Safe & Happy 4th of July!
by James Falk on

This coming Thursday we will be celebrating the 237th birthday of the United States of America with fireworks, family and fun.  We commemorate this great moment in history and will remember and honor all the men and women who have and continue to fight for our freedom.

Here are some interesting, fun facts about the 4th of July.....

  • Originally, the stars on the flag were arranged in a circle to denote the equality of all the colonies
  • Thomas Jefferson and John Adams both died on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence
  • According to one article, if Benjamin Franklin had had his way, the turkey would have been the animal on the flag instead of the bald eagle
  • Only 2.5 million people lived in the U.S. in 1776, about 314 million live here now
  • With more than 700 million Americans planning a traditional Independence Day barbecue, we eat around 150 million hot dogs and 700 million pounds of chicken
  • The U.S. imports about $3.6 million American flags each year, most of them from China........

We hope you have a safe and fun 4th of July!

Insurance Benefits: Use it or Lose it!
by JD_Falkdds on

Many of our patients have dental insurance and we take pride in helping our patients receive the full benefits provided by their dental insurance. We are sending this email to tell you about a tip that will help you fully utilize your dental benefits.

Your insurance policy provides a certain dollar amount
of coverage each year. If you do not use your coverage during the year, you lose any unused benefits. Unused coverage does not carry over to the next year.

Although treatment is never dictated by an insurance policy, our
experience has shown that benefits can often be maximized by careful planning.

Our goal for each of our patients is to help you look good, feel good, have strong teeth and gums, and maintain a healthy and attractive smile for a lifetime. We also strive to make quality dental care affordable for our patients and helping you use the insurance benefits you have is one way to help you
afford the care you need and deserve.

A good way to control your dental expenses is to plan any necessary treatment to take full advantage of your insurance coverage. If you have any treatment needs or are concerned about any aspect of your oral health, it may be very useful for you to schedule an appointment with us before the end of the year. Remember, when the clock strikes midnight on December 31st you lose any unused 2012 dental insurance benefits.

We look forward to hearing from you and appreciate you being a member of our dental family.

In friendship and health,

Dr. James Falk
